Fitchburg- Susie (Shetrawski) Goguen, 87 of Fitchburg died Wednesday, May 18, 2016 in Health alliance Hospital, Leominster. Susie was born in Gardner daughter of Kasper and Grace (Miller) Shetrawski on August 11, 1928.
Before retirement she had worked for many years for the former Burbank Hospital. She was a member of St. Camillus Church in Fitchburg, the AMVETS Auxiliary, where she was a life member, former Chaplin and Past President, The AMVETS State Department, where she had been a legislature director, Chaplin and 3rd Vice President, A Life member of ARC, where she was working in Respite care and a Local, State and National Sackette, where she had served as National President.
Her husband Placide M. Goguen died in 1987. She leaves her daughter Grace VanHillo of Fitchburg, her grandson Johannes VanHillo of Fitchburg, her brother Peter Shetrawski of Danvers and her sister Annie LeBlanc of Gardner, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Bennie and Paul Shetrawski and her sister Adele Douckas.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 11:00am in St. Camillus Church, 333 Mechanic St Fitchburg. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery Fitchburg. Calling hours will be held Tuesday morning from 9 until 10:30am in the Aubuchon-Moorcroft Funeral Home, 132 Woodland St. Fitchburg.
