Mary Evangeline (Hubbard) Hasty, 90, of Fitchburg, MA formerly of Wethersfield, CT and Naples, ME, died Thursday, December 29, 2016 in Leominster. Mary was born in Springfield, MA on October 3, 1926 to the late Mary (Tappley) and Harold Potter Hubbard; She attended local Springfield schools and graduated from Classical High School.  She was a member of the class of 1946 Westbrook Junior College, Portland, Maine.  After graduating, she worked in the college’s bookstore. She later met the love of her life, the late Royal W. Hasty, Jr.  Married for 56 years, they lived in Greenfield, MA, Middletown, CT, Wethersfield, CT and Naples, ME where they retired in 1983. For the last 10 years, she has made her home with her daughter Mary Jane and Stephen Moorcroft. Blessed with a large family, Mary is survived by her two sons Ted and Roy (Lois) and her three daughters Nancy Hasty Miller, Mary Jane (Stephen) Moorcroft and Anne (Jason) Peck Mary was born in Springfield, MA on October 3, 1926 to the late Mary (Tappley) and Harold Potter Hubbard.
