Lynda M LaFleur

Lynda LaFleur, 65 years old, formerly of Fitchburg, passed on Saturday December 16th at Blueberry Hill Nursing Home in Beverly, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. 

Lynda was born in Fitchburg on February 29, 1952, daughter of the late Raymond and Claire (Turcotte) LaFleur, and was always a Cleghorn girl at heart.

Lynda leaves behind her son, Marc Rouleau, and his wife, Lorna, of Westminster; her daughter, Jenn (Rouleau) Rushton, and her husband, Todd, of Beverly; her three grandsons Eric and Alex Rouleau and Ty Rushton; her sister, Gail Engelmann, and her husband, Lance, of Westminster; her brothers Jim LaFleur and his wife Patricia of Sterling; Sandy LaFleur and Tom LaFleur, both of Florida.  She also leaves several nieces and nephews (Tiffany LaFleur, Keith and Kevin Engelmann, Leilana LaFleur and Heidi and Taylor LaFleur), grand-nieces (Emily, Ava, and Kaya) and many loving cousins.

Lynda graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1970 and Mount Wachusett Community College. She worked for many years for the U.S.Post Office as a clerk in the Shirley and Westminster offices, loving all of her customers (especially the kids).  She loved to crochet blankets, and was a huge Red Sox fan. Lynda loved being in her home on Pepper Road that her father built, and watching the birds on her deck and the flowers surrounding her house.  Most of all, Lynda loved being with her family.

Calling hours will be 5-7 on Thursday December 21st at Aubuchon-Moorcroft Funeral Home on 132 Woodland St in Fitchburg. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to have donations made in Lynda’s name to Care Dimensions (75 Sylvan St, Suite B 102, Danvers, MA 01923 or caredimensions.org).
