Fitchburg- Rita F. (Nicolas) Boudreau, 87 died Friday, October 7, 2016 in The Highlands Fitchburg. Rita was born July 25, 1929 in Fitchburg daughter of Arthur and Marie (Berube) Nicolas. She had been a lifelong member of St. Joseph Church, a member of the Ladies of St Anne, Daughters of Isabella and the American Friendship Club. She enjoyed spending time at the Fitchburg Senior Center, was an avid walker and loved Bingo. Before retiring many years ago she had worked for Independent Lock Co and Amwelt Shoe Co. She attended St. Francis Grammar School and graduated from St. Bernard’s High School class of 1948.
Her first husband Philip J. Arsenault whom she married in 1950 died in 2001 and her second husband Roland Boudreau whom she married in 2003 died in 2010. She leaves her daughters Rhonda Arsenault and her husband Vimal Raheja of Fitchburg and Donna Phaneuf and her husband Charles of Gardner, her son Gary Arsenault of Virginia Beach Virginia, granddaughter Nicole Raheja of Westborough, her sister Irene Prince of Fitchburg, sister in laws Irene Arsenault of Fitchburg and Virginia Arsenault of Westminster, and several nieces, nephew and friends. She was predeceased by a sister Dorothy Gelinas.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 12 noon in St. Joseph Church 49 Woodland St. Fitchburg, burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery Fitchburg. There are no calling hours. Aubuchon-Moorcroft Funeral Home, Fitchburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
