Lorraine (Trainque) Maynard

Fitchburg- Lorraine “Lorry” (Trainque) Maynard, 81, longtime resident of the Fitchburg-Westminster area died Monday, April 17, 2017 in The Highlands, Fitchburg. Lorry was born in Fitchburg on May 19, 1935 daughter of the late Marguerite (Patient) Trainque. Lorry was a graduate of St. Bernard’s High School.

While living in Fitchburg she had been a member of St. Joseph Church. While living in Westminster she had been a member of St. Edwards Church. Lorraine started the 1st Fitchburg chapter of the Parents without Partners. She had been a member of the Senior Friendship Club of Westminster, where she was the trip organizer. She loved reading, bowling, traveling and seafood. She retired in 1999 from the Special Security Organization, U.S. Government at Fort Huachuca Arizona. She had worked at Fort Devens until the Base closed.

Lorraine is survived by four daughters; Debbie A. Maynard of Fitchburg, Donna M. Maynard of Winchendon, Robin J. Maynard of Fitchburg and Kelly S. Maynard Hill of Fitchburg, seven grandchildren; Rick, Chelsea, Cory, Bradley, Brett, Dustin and Autumn, six great grandchildren, one brother Raymond Trainque and his wife Rita of Leominster, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Lionel Trainque.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 9:00am in St. Joseph Church, 49 Woodland St Fitchburg. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery Fitchburg MA. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations in Lorry’s memory may be made to the: American Diabetes Assoc., P.O. Box 2680, North Canton Ohio 44720 or to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., 311 Arsenal St, Watertown MA 02472. Aubuchon-Moorcroft Funeral Home Fitchburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
