Harry P Lamoureux

Fitchburg- Harry P. Lamoureux, 86 of Fitchburg died Thursday, February 5, 2015 at home after an illness. Harry was born in Fitchburg on January 31, 1929 son of Clarence and Ida (Gallant) Lamoureux. He was a graduate of Fitchburg High School. Harry was a member of St. Joseph Church. He had served in the Massachusetts National Guard. He retired several years ago from the Weyerhaeuser Paper Co. He loved music and playing the trumpet.
Harry leaves his wife of 21 years Dorothy (Poisson) Lamoureux, two sons: William Lamoureux of Dracut and David Lamoureux in Texas, stepchildren: Cheryl Devio of Margate Fl, Joseph Machonis of Plantation Fl. and John Machonis of Ft. Lauderdale Fl. 12 grandchildren: Paul Lamoureux, Terry Chevette, Jessica Lamoureux, Christopher Lamoureux, Jessica Devio, Christine Gendler, Samantha Devio, Candice McKenney, Joseph Long, Bradley Machonis, Joseph J. Machonis and Nicole Machonis, 19 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Clarisse Bourque and two brothers Norman and Francis Lamoureux.
A committal service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015 at 11:30am in the Pieta Chapel at St Joseph Cemetery, Fitchburg. There are no calling hours. Aubuchon-Moorcroft Funeral Home Fitchburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
