Fitchburg- Charles R. “Bob” Pearson Sr., 85 of Fitchburg died March 21, 2016 in HealthAlliance/Leominster Hospital. Bob was born November 29, 1930 in Natick Ma son of Oscar and Alma (Holmes) Pearson. He had attended Natick Schools. Before retiring he had worked for local businesses before founding and opening Pearson’s Auto Radiator Repair Service in 1968 which he ran for 35 years. He had been a Member of the Massachusetts National Guard for 8 years and a member of the U.S. Air Force Reserve for 3 years. He had been a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and had served as Trustee and member of the choir. He was a member of the Fitchburg Citizen’s Patrol, Fitchburg Sportsmen’s Club, the NRA and United Commercial Travelers, Council # 823. He enjoyed gardening and feeding the birds.
His wife of 63 years Jean M. (Mustakangas) Pearson died December 4, 2015. He leaves two sons: Charles R. “Chuck” Pearson Jr. and his wife Paula of Fitchburg and Ralph Pearson and his wife Karen of Fitchburg, four granddaughters: Kristen Auger, Kara Martin, Kandace Primeau and Kaitlyn Pearson and seven great grandchildren. He is predeceased by a brother Paul Pearson and a sister Ruth Baxter.
Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Fitchburg. There are no calling hours. Aubuchon-Moorcroft Funeral Home Fitchburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
